I have purchased TixHub for both the Grand Theatre in Kingston and The Burlington Performing Arts Centre. I have found it to be a very user friendly system that is straight forward to use. I've been working with TixHub for many years. In fact, I think our venue was one of the originals! Sandy and her team of programmers and support staff have been excellent over the years. No emails go unanswered, no phone calls go unreturned - and their depth of knowledge is impressive. One of the most valuable tools to me is the ability to custom design reports. They make it easy as they fully understand how our business works and what we need to accomplish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend TixHub for your ticketing solution.
Since moving our ticketing operation to TixHub almost three years ago, our costs have declined, our ability to target specific market segments has improved dramatically and the costs to our customer have gone down. We now have a much clearer picture of our audience, who they are, where they live and what their buying habits are, making us much more efficient marketers. Approximately six years ago, the Newmarket Theatre spent several months reviewing proposals for our first online
ticketing/automated box office program. There were several criteria that had to be met not only from an ease of use
standpoint but also IT friendly for our IT department.
We examined one proposal which required us to install and operate over $250,000 worth of hardware and software ourselves.
Another proposal was from a company that operated campground bookings nationally. This was their first foray into online
ticketing but felt their experience would benefit our needs. Basically we were the guinea pig.
The third proposal was from TIXHUB. Our IT department looked at this proposal with 2 separate offsite servers with backup,
as being more beneficial than having to run our own equipment, which was cost prohibitive. The program also seemed to be
more user friendly both for our staff but more importantly our Patrons.
Over the years, TIXHUB has provided excellent service for all of our needs. Their base program has the convenience of
being able to be customized across their client base, location by location, without the complexities of some online
programs, which require all changes to be approved by the members.
Our current program has been praised by our Patrons for its simplicity of use and content. I am a firm believer that
no business should look at its operations only from internal sources. I like to go to our website as a patron would,
to determine if any hiccups occur which would cause our patrons to discontinue the online convenience. I am happy to
say, we are never disappointed. TIXHUB has consistently delivered a reliable customer friendly sales and IT staff
experience. They quickly respond to enquiries or requests for changes to our program, usually within minutes.
Our Patron response remains very supportive as well. Entering into the online experience, we felt that we might achieve
a conservative 20-30% patron user rate. Within a year, we had surpassed a 75% rate. The long lines of dance parents
waiting outside our doors at 6:30am, with lawn chairs, coffee in hand, shrouded in heavy blankets are long gone,
thankfully.
For any theatre considering an online ticketing service, with excellent staff and Patron buy-in, I would strongly
recommend that TIXHUB be high on your priority list.
