A spring concert like no other. Beethoven’s great
“Pastorale” Symphony is the main work. It is a journey in music, starting with
a walk in the country, some time spent by the brook, a village dance, a huge
storm, and then general rejoicing with the return of the sun. Paired with this
is Prokofiev’s beautiful and soaring First Violin Concerto, featuring Erika
Raum in her second appearance with the PSO.

Carrabré, is an exciting concert opener describing a frenetic car ride towards
the west. Ericka Raum Known for her "lively temperament, energetic individuality and warm and communicative tone" (Muzsika, Budapest), violinist Erika Raum has a distinct musicality and tone. Playing professionaly since the age of twelve, Ms. Raum quickly rose through the ranks by taking first place at the 1992 Josph Szigeti International Violin Competition in Budapest as well as the award for best interpretation of a Mozart concerto. |
