Theatre Sheridan presents
The Musical Development Project
Geoffrey Chaucer's
The Canterbury Tales
A theatrical adaptation by Mitchell Cushman
It’s not just about where they’re going, it’s about the stories shared along the way.
This lively play follows a diverse group of pilgrims on a journey to Canterbury, each competing to tell the most unforgettable tale. Mitchell Cushman repurposes Geoffrey Chaucer’s classic with biting humour, live music, and a witty blend of modern and Shakespearean language. The Canterbury Tales is a playful exploration of class, religion, gender, and the stories that connect us.
This Musical Development Project will be a stand-and-sing workshop presentation.
Based on Ronald L. Eckers modern English translation
