Title: HH Lecture Series - Paul Dias: A Man of Colours
Venue: John Elliott Theatre
Halton Hills Lecture Series - Paul Dias: A Man of Colours
Inspired by the great Van Gogh, whose influence is evident in his early works, Paul has always strived to capture the essence of life in his art. Over time, he found inspiration in Tom Thomson's vibrant landscapes, admiring how his pieces never resembled photographs. Similarly, Paul aims to transcend photographic realism, offering viewers a deeper, more emotional connection to the natural world. His exhibition tells the story of life through the fundamental elements of growth: roots + water + sunshine = growth. Just as these elements are essential for all living things they have also been pivotal in Paul's personal growth as an artist. Following the lecture in the John Elliot Theatre, the artist will give a tour of his exhibit which will be on display from February 3 - March 2 in the upper Sisnett Lobby of the Cultural Centre
