Join us on
the evening of November 21 for Songs of Hope and Peace, a fundraiser for Doctors
Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Canada. MSF
(Doctors Without Borders) cares for people afflicted by war, starvation and
disease throughout the world. Physicians and nurses from Canada and many other
countries donate their time and expertise to help people in dire need. Fully $30
of the $35 ticket price for this concert, will go directly to MSF*. The concert
organizers have paid the cost of renting the John Elliot Theatre. Your $35
however, will also bring you a memorable evening of song. Four acts have
graciously volunteered to perform. They are Jim Broughton, a long-established
Georgetown, "folkie" Heartwood Ridge, featuring a small group of
musicians from Guelph and the surrounding area, Joe McLellan, a versatile solo
performer from Kitchener-Waterloo, and That Band, a group of enthusiastic and
talented musicians from Halton Hills and beyond. We also hope to have an MSF
volunteer join us to share some of their experiences in the field. Hoping you
can join us for some fine music and to support MSF!
