“Remembrances” takes listeners into the sonic world of Ziya Tabassian, a world music percussionist, whose intricate and energizing compositions are based on classical Persian rhythmic cycles.
He is joined by Didem Başar, a virtuoso Turkish kanun player, kamanche player Sareh Borna, and Mohammad Sahraei, a musician from Iran who is the founder of the World Music Museuum society in Halifax.
