I'm having trouble purchasing my tickets online - what am I doing wrong?
If you’re purchasing tickets online for the first time you may want to review our how-to page here. If your purchase attempt is interrupted, you may find the seats you want are now showing as sold, as they are locked in your initial shopping cart for 20 minutes.
Our box office staff are here to help! Email the box office at saultctc@shaw.ca and someone will get back with you by our next business day. Or you may call us at 705-945-7299 during our normal business hours.
I recently attended a performance and lost something. Who do I contact?
Please contact the Algoma District School Board at 705-945-7181 to inquire about any missing items.
Can I dance and sing along at a performance?
Every show is different! Most music artists encourage you to stand up, dance, and sing along at your seat. Please feel free to join in. During other performances, and even during some songs, this would not be appropriate. Take your cue from the rest of the audience. If the majority of the audience is seated, you should do the same so as not to impede your fellow fans’ enjoyment.
Standing on chairs, standing in the aisles, and rushing to the front of the stage is NEVER allowed. These policies are for the safety of everyone in the audience.
The Sault Community Theatre Centre reserves the right to remove anyone from the audience who is causing a disruption or is acting in an unsafe manner.
Do I need a ticket for my baby or young child?
Yes. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre. This includes babes-in-arms less than 12 months of age.
Children of all ages are welcome to attend most events. However, please use discretion in choosing to bring a young child.
Strollers must remain in the lobby and are not permitted inside the theatre. Baby carrier seats must be placed directly onto a seat inside the theatre and not placed on the floor or stairs.
When will the lobby be open prior to an event?
Doors to the lobby will open one hour prior to the performance unless otherwise noted. The Box Office at the theatre will also open one hour prior to the performance. Doors to the theatre will typically open 30 minutes prior to the performance. There will always be a Front-of House Manager on hand to answer questions and assist patrons. Latecomers will be asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance before entering the theatre.
Can I bring my drink into the theatre during a performance?
Yes. Patrons may bring drinks and food that were purchased at the bar into the theatre during a performance.
I have an e-ticket. Do I have to print the ticket onto paper?
No. Ushers will be able to scan your ticket on your phone.
Are booster seats provided for children's performances?
Yes. We can provide a limited number of booster seats on a first-come, first-served basis. You are welcome to bring your own booster seat if attending with a small child.
Where do I store my mobility aid during a performance?
If you wish to transfer to a seat from your own personal wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair or mobility aids at an easily accessible area in the auditorium. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair or mobility aids to you at the end of the event, or any other time you would prefer.
Do you have listening assistive devices available?
Yes. A limited number of listening assistive devices are available for use within the theatre. Please ask ushers at the event for assistance.
