Hayley Verrall
DHayley Verrall is a driven, passionate and eclectic award winning country singer/songwriter from Burlington, Ontario. Hayley’s voice has been compared to those of Patsy Cline and Roseanne Cash, a reflection of the distinct and pure tones she inserts into every melody she sings while providing superb self-accompaniment on guitar.

Hayley`s original songs (first EP ‘You Ain’t Seen Trouble Yet’ (2014)) can be described as contemplative, yet bold and fun. The melodies are catchy and dynamic and the lyrics are sassy and real, easily engaging listeners and inviting participation.

Hayley is continuously working on new projects. The topics and style of the songs have evolved, but all the materials feature her clarity of voice and harmonies, and her own profound and relatable lyrics paired with her original passionate, energetic and addictive melodies.

One of Hayley’s biggest projects is Singing for Smiles. This project began in 2017 during her last year of college. A few years before her grandma had suffered a stroke that paralyzed the right side of her body and stroke, in which noone knew how much time she had left. When Hayley had brought out her guitar and started singing it was like a miracle had happened. Singing for Smiles allows Hayley to go to a variety of retirement and nursing homes, sing old country classics and share her story.

Matty Simpson
Matty Simpson is a world class guitar player and singer-songwriter based out of Hamilton, Ontario. His style has been called an eclectic mix of rock and roll with rhythm and blues.

From an early age, Matty has had an appreciation for good music. He grew up listening to artists such as Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Kate Bush and many other diverse musicians. His mother’s interest in world travel and his father’s love of music meant that there were always guitars and other exotic instruments around the house, and always being surrounded by music has had a profound impact on his current songwriting style which is a mixture of the 60s/70s/90s and modern music.

Growing up in a small town allowed Matty the time to focus on music. He was a part of many bands of various genres before landing the role as lead guitarist in a band called Holding Sky. Holding Sky was a hard rock band based out of Hamilton that formed in 2004. The band put out a few albums, played around the Greater Toronto Area and achieved some success, eventually opening for the Deftones at the Taste of Chaos tour in 2005.

While playing in Holding Sky, Matty also taught guitar lessons in Port Dover, Ontario. This is where he was introduced to Canadian singer-songwriter, Fred Eaglesmith. Matty would then spend the next ten years as a full-time touring sideman playing guitar, banjo and keys as part of the Fred Eaglesmith Travelling Show. He traveled around the world playing hundred of diverse venues such as The Bluebird Cafe, the Delbert McClinton Blues Cruise and even an appearance on the David Letterman Show.

Over Matty’s career, he has fine tuned his guitar playing and musicianship. His ability to come up with original compositions and guitar licks that tastefully fit into any tune are an illustration of his musical expertise. His songs are a testament to the years of devotion to the craft yet their message remains relative to all of his listeners. His singing and vocal styles, which have been compared to musical greats such as Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder, and his soulful melodies and thoughtful chord progressions will have you wanting to listen to his songs on repeat.
