Contact our Box Office (905-681-6000) to purchase accessible seating. The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a facility that is inclusive and respectful to all, combining accessibility with imaginative design and creativity. Burlington's Accessibility Advisory Committee was involved during the design and construction of The Centre, incorporating accessibility features wherever possible. Accessibility Features that benefit patrons, employees, and volunteers with disabilities include wheelchair accessible theatres and lobby, lowered service counters at the box office and the bar, an elevator to the mezzanine and orchestra level, automatic door opening sensors throughout the facility, accessible washrooms located on the main floor and mezzanine levels, and a colour scheme which was selected to enhance the safety and wayfinding experience for everyone, including people with vision loss. Accessible Seating for patrons who use mobility devices or have limited mobility is available in several locations in both theatres. There are multiple wheelchair accessible locations in the Main Theatre, and every seat in the Studio Theatre is potentially accessible (depending on configuration). Booster Seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Service Animals are welcome in the facility. Please contact our Box Office (905-681-6000) to ensure that your seat selection provides sufficient space for your animal. Assistive Listening Devices are available free of charge. You will be asked to leave a piece of photo ID, which will be returned to you upon returning the device. Accessible Parking is available in the parking lot at the back of the facility, and on levels 1 and 2 in the parking garage located beside The Centre. A pedestrian bridge, located on level 2, connects the parking garage directly to The Centre and interior elevator. The Back of House includes accessible dressing rooms, washrooms, green room and an elevator to the orchestra pit for musicians with disabilities. |
