Heather Rankin is perhaps best known as a member of the multi-award winning group, The Rankin Family, touring the world and bringing the music of Cape Breton and Nova Scotia to an international audience.
In 2016 Heather released her debut solo album which sees her forge her own musical legacy with upbeat Rankin-style numbers, soaring ballads, personal and poetic lyrics and bold collaborations. The album, A Fine Line, received a 2017 Juno Award Nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album of the Year as well as East Coast Music Award nominations for both Folk Recording of the Year and Fan’s Choice Video of the Year.
Heather brings her 4 piece band to the theatre for what will definitely be a very special night!
Opening the show are Canadian folk/roots duo, Greyhound Riders who write original, sophisticated folk-based music with a twist of jazz, a touch of newgrass and a hint of old-time.
They call it Canadiana. |
