Help Lindsay’s own the Kents choose the Best of the Best to open for them on Night Two of Kawartha’s Got Talent Weekend on Sunday, May 7th. In attendance for KGT Show on Saturday, the Kents will select the talent to perform in Act 1 for their show the very next night: back-to-back great nights at the Academy Theatre!

the Kents are an emerging force from Lindsay, Ontario that call on anthemic intimacy. Waking EP, produced by Derek Hoffman (The Elwins, DCF) at Fox Sounds in Toronto with mastering from Dan Weston (Shad, City And Colour), encapsulates lyrical explorations of family, loss and separation from the comfort of adolescence with a hook-hungry, pop filter that controls the chaos.

Their debut single “The Stakes” was featured on the iTunes’ New Artist Spotlight, Spotify’s Best of 2016 Viral Hits, Hockey Night in Canada, Canada‘s Walk Of Fame Emerging Artist and earned radio support from CBC including George Stroumboulopoulos and various other regional, national stations. They’ve shared the stage for sold-out shows with The Trews, The Strumbellas, The Elwins and Hollerado. For more information on the Kents, please see their website http://www.thekentsband.com/
