BILLY BISHOP GOES TO WAR

This beloved show, and winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama, pays tribute to Canada’s iconic WW1 hero and flying ace, Billy Bishop.

The two-man musical features actor Matt Evans portraying the legendary Bishop, as well as an astonishing 15 other characters. Matt has appeared recently in CBC’s Murdock Mysteries and will be appearing in the new TV Series Fellow Travellers on Showcase. He has also appeared in Canadian feature films including Beowulf & Grendel, Black Swan, Things To, and The Birdmen.

Matt Evans, who portrays more than a dozen characters in the production, says audiences can expect an unforgettable evening filled with storytelling that transcends generations.

“This story honours the indomitable spirit of Billy Bishop,” he says. “It reminds us of the courage and resilience of those who answered the call and left the comfort of small-town Canada to fight tyranny abroad.”
