The Trail & District Arts Council and Rossland Council for Arts and Culture present Missy D: 1, 2, 3 On y va!, an interactive, bi-lingual, hip-hop show. An all ages show recommended for kids ages 4 and up, their families and the young at heart to enjoy together on Sunday, November 22, 2026 at 3pm at The Bailey Theatre as part of the TECK Family Series.
Missy D is a hip hop, rap & soul artist who makes music as a way to express feelings, share a message, and connect with listeners. This femcee raps in French and English, drawing inspiration from French melodies to R&B, soul, jazz, hip hop, rock and rap legends for an interactive show that is in both French and English.
Her live performances are nothing short of electrifying, her mesmerizing stage presence mixed in with a live hip hop dynamic resonates with audiences of all ages. She will get you grooving, feeling, singing along and maybe even practicing some French!

Missy D has been rhyming since the tender age of 11, effortlessly switching between French and English. Hailing from the Motherland with roots in Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, and Zimbabwe, she is deeply influenced by the sounds of her roots and iconic artists like Missy Elliott, Ms. Lauryn Hill, MC Solaar, 2Pac, Diam's, India.Arie, J Dilla, and J. Cole...
Now based in Vancouver, she is making waves in her community as a bilingual/francophone artist and a member of Laydy Jams. This femcee has performed at renowned events such as SXSW, NXNE, Juno Fest, Vancouver Jazz Festival, and Rifflandia, Festival du Voyageur and many more.
Missy D has shared the stage with notable acts like Maestro Fresh Wes, Jully Black, Nomadic Massive, Sons Of Kemet, Mr. Eazi, The Sorority, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Anderson Paak., K'naan and Shaggy to name a few.

Luminarium - Juggling Saves The World : A Solarpunk Fable by Cause & Effect Circus - Sunday, January 24, 2027, at 3 PM at The Bailey Theatre in Trail In this non-verbal, physical theatre performance, two people use their circus skills and tools, including illuminated clubs, to fix an old factory so they can clean the air and save the world. But as they work, they find that a small plant may give an alternative solution to create a hopeful future. For ages 4 and up.
Starry Night Silent Dance Party - Friday, March 12, 2027 at 5pm at The Miners Hall in Rossland Dress in your best space themed costume as you swap between the awesome music played by our 2 DJs - DJ Akiba and Dj Cat’s Meow. Pick your favourite style and keep changing it up. Then dance like there’s no one watching at this silent disco party!
