Starry Night Silent Dance Party

Friday, March 12, 2027 at 5 pm

The Miners Hall in Rossland

Join the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture and Trail & District Arts Council for a fun night of dancing at the Starry Night Silent Dance Party, on Friday, March 12 at 5 PM at The Miners Hall in Rossland as part of the TECK Family Series.

A silent disco party combines music, movement, and social interaction for a fully immersive and personalized experience. Plus, you’re never quite sure what the person next to you is dancing to.

Swap between the awesome music from our 2 DJs - DJ Akiba and Dj Cat’s Meow. Pick your favourite style and keep changing it up. Then dance like there’s no one watching! You can even sing along and no one will hear you.

Not sure what a Silent Dance Party is?  It’s a silent disco but more fun. You listen to the music through wireless headphones instead of loudspeakers.

What this means:

  • If it gets too much you just take your headphones off and go have a rest.

  • Not enjoying the music? Just swap channels.

  • Too loud or quiet? You just adjust the volume on your own headphones.

  • Take off your headphones and talk with your friends without having to shout over the music.

Dress up if you want. Be something spacey -  a Supernova, your fave planet or an astronaut. No pressure. Not feeling the theme? Come up with your own idea or just wear your best dancing clothes!!!!

We’ll bring the vibe with glowy, themed decorations.

The event is sensory-friendly because it is customizable for each person to reduce sensory overload.

The event is 1 hour and 15 minutes. No intermission but plenty of opportunities to chill!

Single tickets are $20 adults and $16 kids. General admission seating, so get to the theatre early for the best seats.

Tickets are available online at purchase.trail-arts.com, by phone at 250-368-9669, and in person at the Bailey Box Office at 1501 Cedar Ave., Trail.

This show is made possible thanks to funding from Teck Trail Operations, the BC Arts Council, BC Live Performance Network, the Government of Canada, and Tourism South Kootenay with support from Ferraro Foods and the Prestige Mountain Resort Rossland. We also gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.
